Text messages from Hand
Last updated November 4, 2026
Hand is invoicing software for small service businesses: air-conditioning techs, plumbers, cleaners and the like. When a business sends an estimate or invoice, Hand can text their customer a link to view and pay it, from Hand's number (844) 623-9437.
How customers agree
Customers agree out loud, to the business they're hiring. When the business takes a customer's phone number, in person or on a call while booking the job, it reads this script:
Business: "Can I text your estimates, invoices and payment reminders for this job to this number? It's usually a few texts per job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or STOP to opt out any time. Our terms and privacy policy are at heyhand.app/terms and heyhand.app/privacy. Is that OK, yes or no?"
Customer: "Yes."
Business: "Great, you're set. Texts will come from Hand's number, (844) 623-9437."
Only if the customer says yes does the business tick OK to text on that customer in Hand. If they say no, the box stays clear and Hand won't text them. Hand records when it was ticked, and won't text a customer without it. The links in the script: Terms and Privacy Policy.

What we send
Only messages about the customer's own work with that business:
- a link to a new estimate or invoice;
- a notice when a scheduled payment is due;
- a reminder when a payment is late.
No marketing, ever. Each message names the business and ends with how to stop. For example:
Joe's Cooling sent you invoice #1001 for $495.00: https://pro.heyhand.app/i/… Reply STOP to opt out
How often
It depends on the job: usually a few messages per estimate or invoice. Message and data rates may apply.
Stop or get help

Your number stays private
